Record the balcony conditions you can observe
Language is not a growing-zone map. Describe the current conditions rather than following a seasonal calendar written for another region. Two pots on the same balcony may have different exposure and drying behavior.

Example: one drooping basil pot
Illustrative example: label the pot “basil by the balcony door,” photograph the whole plant and note that it was exposed to a cold night. Record the compost condition before deciding to water. The basil guide explains the moisture, drainage and cold checks; this record keeps those observations attached to the correct pot.
Do not assume every herb should receive the same action as that basil. A different species, container or position may need a different assessment.

Keep edible-herb safety in view
Do not choose a homemade chemical mixture or assume a treated herb is safe to harvest because an app recognizes it. Treatment and harvest advice must fit the crop and local guidance. Seek a local assessment for spreading damage or an uncertain problem, and keep a record of anything already applied.
